MISSION & IMPACT
The Open Chair Project restores dignity and wellness to women in the Greater Baton Rouge area experiencing medically related hair loss by bridging the gap between clinical care and technical hair restoration.
Hair loss can affect far more than appearance. It can disrupt a woman’s identity, confidence, emotional well-being, and ability to feel like herself. Yet specialized hair-loss services and cranial prosthetics are often unaffordable or excluded from insurance coverage.
Our impact begins by removing those barriers. Through financial assistance, professional education, compassionate support, and access to qualified partner providers, we help women move from uncertainty and isolation toward informed care, practical solutions, and renewed confidence.
Our vision is a community where no woman has to navigate medically related hair loss alone—or go without support simply because she cannot afford it.
“ Thanks so much, Ashley. You helped me so much. You are amazing with no judgment and pure emotional support for me. It was really important.”
