MISSION & IMPACT
Providing dignity, confidence, and equitable access to hair-loss solutions for individuals experiencing medically induced hair loss who are under-insured or facing financial barriers.
Founded by a licensed cosmetologist and trichology practitioner, Ashley Ventress, with 20+ years of experience, The Open Chair Project was created to bridge the gap between medical hair loss and accessible, compassionate care.
Although The Open Chair Project is a newly established nonprofit, our mission is built on years of clinical trichology, cosmetology, and hair-replacement expertise.
We have already supported numerous clients privately through hair-loss education, compassionate care, and prosthetic solutions, and we are now expanding these services to everyone who needs access but lacks financial means.
“ Thanks so much, Ashley. You helped me so much. You are amazing with no judgment and pure emotional support for me. It was really important.”
